San Francisco Day 2

Since Keith's sessions were in the afternoon on Thursday, we set-out on our adventure in the morning. First thing we did was go see the Golden Gate bridge, which was amazing. Keith decided we'd walk across it (after I'd picked my shoes for the day, but more on that later), so here are pictures of our before and after.

We decided to spend the afternoon in Sausalito, which is across the river from San Francisco. It's a pretty town, very European-looking, but was full of souvenir shops and art galleries (contradictory, right?). Needless to say, we decided that life in the city was much better, and we hopped onto a ferry boat for a ride back to the city. The boat ride was actually one of the better tourist-y things we did - we got to see great skylines of the city, and got close-up to Alcatraz. The rest of the afternoon was more boring - work for Keith and a haircut for me - but then, midnight came and we saw New Moon. Yay! I know that I've already posted on this, but I'd like to say that my post went live at 4:30am, when it was actually only 2:30am for us on the West Coast. :)

San Francisco Day 1

Keith and I spent the last 5 days in San Francisco on a kid-free vacation. The motivation was a Salesforce.com conference, so here's a picture of that:
Keith spent part of the day at the conference and making work calls, but then we got to see the city. We had been prepared that Friday (our major sight-seeing day) was going to be rainy, so we jammed everything into the first few days of the trip. Day 1 included a trip to Anchor Brewing Company, makers of Anchor Steam beer (one of Keith's favorites).
After Keith's sessions, we went to Pier 39, Ghirardelli Square, and had our first In-n-Out burgers!

Just saw...

New Moon and it's fantastic! Went to a midnight showing, and had a blast with all the 16 year-old girls screaming at every glance of Edward and Jacob. :)

So much to catch-up with on the blog, but can't now. Hopefully I'll get things up by early next week.

Said to Keith tonight

1) AC was doing a happy dance in her chair because Mimi brought us doughnuts as a surprise. She fell (as any Mom could expect), and started crying when she hit the floor. Keith ran over to comfort her, and she said "You were supposed to tell me to get off the chair!"

2) I'm folding laundry while the kids are marching upstairs for bed. I ask Keith to hold-on because I want to give him some of the load to carry up. A calls down, asking Keith when he'll be up, and Keith explains that I asked him to help with the laundry. A responds "But you never help with the laundry!" (Keith's response might have been the best, though. He said to A, "Thanks for rolling me under the bus, bud!")

Mind Blowing Performance

This is Keith posting. Friday night me and my friend Matt Cowell took the stage at La Reunion coffee shop in Helena as "Mr. Keefus and the Cheese"

I appreciate the friends and family that made it out. We had a great time. For footage of our opening number, check out the "No Sleep in Helena" blog. We're the first video on the Nov. 6th post.

Hope you enjoy! Thanks again if you made it out.

Catching up

The Lord has given us wonderful weather this week, so we've been spending our time outside. Even though the time change would allow us to have earlier naps, I hate the idea of them sleeping through the glorious sunshine, so I've been letting them take late naps so they can play outside everyday from ~1-3pm. Since they gravitate towards water, we basically spend that entire time wet. I know the time's not too far away where we'll long for outside time, so I just want them to relish the time we do have. (And, yes, I took these pictures today!)
Also, AC has discovered a Cinderella costume that she now wears anywhere we'll let her. She looked like this last Sunday when we went to Publix:

Hope you're enjoying the beautiful weather too!
