Disney - Day 1

We spent the first week in May in Disney World, a spontaneous trip we planned less that 2 weeks before going. (SO out of character for us!) We thought it would be a perfect week to go, since kids were still in school and it might be early enough to not be too hot. WRONG on both counts! Regardless, we had a great time. Here are some pictures of what we did by day:
Day #1 - MGM (or Hollywood Studios, if you go by the new name)
AC loves Bolt, so she was thrilled when she spotted him on the way to lunch.
The kids met one of the Green Army Men from Toy Story. Salute!
The kids were so happy to see Jesse (also from Toy Story).
After lots of walking and being in the sun, they loved a chance to sit and play with their new toys (Star Wars for A and a Cinderella Barbie for AC).
We tried the Disney Dining Plan, and were lucky enough to get reservations to some of our favorite restaurants. Here we are at the Prime Time Cafe, a new choice for us, and the kids loved the build-your-own sundaes!
A is in love with Star Wars, thanks to a friend from school. After riding the Star Wars ride twice and watching the new Star Wars show, he was excited to ride one of the gun ships.

Saw on some blog that a mom goes shopping at her local Wal Mart/Target type store and gathers up Disney toys to take to Disney World w/ her when she takes her kids-- that way, they can get new Disney toys for soooo much cheaper! I thought that was a brilliant idea!
